Prayer Calendar
In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for L’Eglise Anglicane du Rwanda.
In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for all hospital chaplaincies, counseling chaplaincies, and Spiritual Directors throughout ECMN. Pray for your faith community nurses, health ministers, and all those who minister to the sick. We also pray for the parishes of Saint Mary (Afton, Ely, Saint Paul).
Saint Paul’s Parish Prayer List can be found here.

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all:Â Take a few minutes every day to call and see how someone is doing; reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. If anyone needs help, let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Rev. Ramona or Pat Trumbull.
As Jesus said: Love one another.Â

Faith in Action
August’s food shelf theme is POWDERED BEVERAGES: lemonade, kids’ fruit drinks, iced tea, and the like. The food shelf has seen a huge uptick in use, and our collections have not been as robust. Please add them to your shopping list whenever able, and place your items in the bins outside the Undercroft. Email Liz Gamble Taylor or call 612-889-5250 to assist with delivery.
p.s. General donations are always welcome – thank you!!Â
Saint Paul’s Little Library is perpetually popular! Children’s picture books and adult fiction are most needed; all donations can be placed in the bins outside the Undercroft. Your continued generosity helps make this outreach possible.
Episcopal Relief & Development accepts donations to aid those in need both at home and abroad. Click here to donate in a way meaningful to you.

Notes from the Bench: Hymn 573
Jacob Manier, Organist/Choirmaster This Sunday's final hymn is one of my favorites. Incredibly rich, both textually and musically, it is worth studying a bit before we sing it together. I always try to match the final hymn to the missional directive of the Dismissal....
Notes from the Bench: The Trouble with Hymn 596
Hymn 596 is widely considered one of the strongest texts for social justice and national peace in our hymnal. The author, Henry Scott Holland, an Anglican priest, was founder of The Christian Social Union which, in the 1880s, was regarded as “almost alone in proclaiming the injustice of present society.”
A Communications Update

1 April – Sung Compline 8PM
The Office of Compline will be offered on Wednesday evenings as an opportunity to sing and pray together as we adjust to this time of physical distancing. Compline finds its origins in the monastic life of the church of the fourth century; these prayers...
