The Reverend Dr. Penelope Warren
The Reverend Dr. Penelope Warren is a Priest Associate at Saint Paul’s Church on Lake of the Isles.
Ordained priest in 1989, Penny has a Master of Divinity Degree with Distinction from the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California; a Master of Science degree from Illinois State University; and a Ph.D. from Purdue University, where she studied counseling and psychology. She is a member of the emeritus/emerita faculty of San Francisco State University, having retired as associate clinical director of the campus mental health service in 2003. Prior to retirement, she served two San Francisco parishes and five Minnesota congregations, including interim rectorships at Saint Nicholas, Richfield; Christ Church, Woodbury; and here at Saint Paul’s. She has also taught pastoral care as an adjunct faculty member at CDSP and served on Minnesota’s Commission on Ministry. Penny is a vowed member of the Society of the Companions of the Holy Cross and a graduate of the Adelynrood School for Spiritual Direction in Massachusetts.
A widow, Penny was married for 36 years to Richard L. Warren, and shares a home in Crystal with parakeets Dove and Izzy.
