June 5, 2026

Dear beloved members of Saint Paul’s,

May God’s peace and love be with you! I am writing to let you know that I will be taking some medical leave beginning on Sunday, June 7. The reason is that I am having some cardiac issues. I need to rest and then have a procedure to take care of the problem. I have confidence that all will go well and I will be back to my energetic self soon. I don’t have a date-certain on when I will return to church. Until then, other clergy members will provide coverage for Sunday worship. And remember, Saint Paul’s does church all summer long!

Here’s my Public Service Announcement:

Women may experience heart issues differently than men. For me, I didn’t have any shortness of breath, chest pain, trouble with stairs, walking, and no issues with blood work, etc. What I did have was tremendous fatigue – fatigue that I couldn’t seem to recover from. This level of fatigue felt very off for me, so I followed up with my doctor who recognized I had a heart issue. So, let me offer this advice: if things don’t

feel right with your body, speak with your doctor, and advocate for finding out the cause.

Please keep me in your prayers and know you are in mine.

Blessings,
Rev. Ramona+
