Dear members and friends,
expectation for the coming celebration of the birth of Jesus, the coming of Christ incarnate (the fully human and fully divine nature of God).
I invite you onto this season of waiting and longing for the coming of Christ. Spend time in prayer and reflection and in reading the scriptures. Commit to being a participant in Sunday
worship in person or on-line. Help with the greening of the church this Saturday, November 30 at 8:30AM. Join Saint Paul’s for the beautiful service of Lessons and Carols on Friday, December 6 at 7:00PM. Offer items for the Saint Nicholas Food Shelf. Give a gift to the residents and staff at Southside Care center (gift tags on the Giving Tree in the Undercroft.)
Do one kind act every day. Prepare the way of God! Attached are some resources from the Episcopal Church for Advent prayer, readings,
practices and discussion. Click on the link to access “Journeying in the Way of Love for Advent”.

Also, to start you off on your Advent journey, I share with you this meditation by Ruth Burgess from her book, Hear My Cry – A daily prayer book for Advent.
A reading from John 15:15
I call you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from God.
O Friend,
Always wanting the best for us,
trusting us with justice and love:
Come walk beside us
And share our joys and fears.
Offer Prayers:
Pray for your friends past and present.
If you can, spend time with a friend today.
Write Jesus a friendly letter.
Share your news and plans with God.
I wish you a blessed Advent!
