In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Province de L’Eglise Anglicane du Congo.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for those involved in specialized licensed ministries throughout the Episcopal Church in Minnesota including lay preachers, Eucharistic ministers and visitors, and lay readers; and for our musicians and worship committees. We also pray for the Cathedral of Our Merciful Savior (Faribault).

Even during winter months, Saint Paul’s Little Library continues to be extremely popular, and more books are needed to replenish and keep the collection fresh. If you have any left over from your “stay-at-home” stash we would love to have them. They can be dropped off at Hazel’s house if you are near church (call her at 612-377-0943), or Laurie can make a pick-up run if needed (612-849-1348). Children’s books are particularly in demand. Thank you from our reading neighbors!

Upcoming Events

9 MAR: A Virtual Pilgrimage to the Holy Land continues with Reverend Ramona on Zoom from 7-8:00pm, using the Zoom meeting info listed above. She has been on pilgrimage to the Holy Land three times and loves sharing the experience with others. Save next Tuesday evening as well for the conclusion of the journey.

23 MAR: Caste: The Origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson will be the next subject of our Racial Reconciliation journey. Led by Deacon Janet and Sarah Bauer, this book study is scheduled for five Tuesdays at 7:00pm on Zoom. Find out more here.

2 MAY: Art historian Julie L’Enfant will present our next Master Class on 2 May. Details shall spring forth after Easter…

Every Wednesday – Join us for Sung Compline, a contemplative oasis for your midweek: gather on Zoom at 7:45pm to greet your neighbors, then the bells sound at 8:00 for Compline. We depart in silence, refreshed.

FRIDAYS: Lay-officiated Morning Prayer office will take place on Zoom at 10:00am. This liturgy, as set forth by the Book of Common Prayer (page 75), may be prayed communally or individually. We will come before God’s presence with thanksgiving on Friday mornings in August. Please join us! Use the same Zoom information for all our online service events, and you can find the weekly service bulletin on our home page.

The School for Formation is offering its Spring 2021 courses with donation-based tuition. One to consider is Anglican Theology, offered to laity and clergy in partnership with Church Divinity School of the Pacific, starting 12 April. Senior Warden Mark Anderson shared the information from the February All Parish Meeting held on 28 February 2021:
Saint Paul’s has entreated the aid of Saint Joseph as we proceed with the sale of the Beim House. His statue was inhumed on Monday in a brief ceremony. You may lend your prayers during the listing and sale process (and see photos of the ceremony) by using the prayers here.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community.
