with you I am well pleased.”   Mark 1:11

Prayer Calendar

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for La Iglesia Anglicana de Chile.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for youth ministries within the Episcopal Church in Minnesota, especially for those involved with the Youth Commission and Teens Encounter Christ; for Circle of the Beloved; and all those in our faith community involved with faith formation ministries with children, youth, and young adults. We also pray for the parish of the Holy Communion (Saint Peter).

Saint Paul’s weekly Parish Prayer List can be found here. If you wish to be contacted by a member of our Pastoral Care Team and/or priest, request prayers for yourself or someone else on the Parish Prayer List, or simply make someone aware of an acute or ongoing need, click the blue button below.

All aboard the Meal Train: Our long-time bookkeeper Brad Lien is very sick with cancer. He is receiving treatment, but is experiencing pain and lives alone with little family support. Making a meal which could provide some leftovers would be ideal. For more information, check the site and contact Laurie Larsen with questions.

As Jesus said: Love one another.

A message from Joyce Uptown Food Shelf:

“Monetary donations are welcome! Right now we are doing a prepackaged food model, and so have a need for specific items. We can purchase food at our food banks much cheaper than you can purchase food right now: for every $1.00 donated we can purchase about $2.20 worth of food.”

Please visit their website and look for the yellow DONATEbutton on the home page.

YouthLink now has a wish list on Amazon for direct purchasing of needed items. If this is a more convenient option for you to help them, visit their list here.

General Announcements

The blood of Christ has returned: While we aren’t yet able to return to the common cup due to COVID-19, Communion wine is now beinig offfered in individual recyclable cups. Logistical information wil be shared at the preparation of the Service of the Table.
The Renovation Committee has been hard at work discerning Saint Paul’s needs following our separation from 1915 Logan. You can read their considerations for the lower level of the church here; to see the architect’s initial rendering of proposed ideas, click here. This is the starting point for securing bids and budgeting – more information and discussion to come at the Annual Meeting. Contact any Committee member with questions.

Ministers in Liturgy, please use our Google sheet to sign up for reading and serving opportunities for all liturgies in January (and even Feburary, if you’re of a mind to look ahead). Reach out to Pat Trumbull with questions.

We also need a few fine hosts for our Coffee Hour table after the liturgies – minimal commitment, maximum fun! Sign up on the MIL Google sheet, or speak with Jacob Manier to choose your Sunday/s to share hospitality with those gathered.

COVID Response Team: After meeting on Wednesday 17 November, the Response Team has an updated report for Saint Paul’s, viewable here.

Pastoral Care

Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Deacon Janet or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.
