This Sunday at Saint Paul's

How dear to me is your dwelling,
O Lord of hosts!  Psalm 84:1

Ninteenth Sunday after Pentecost

Celebrate the Eucharist with us at 10:00AM from Saint Paul’s altar; the service will also be livestreamed on Zoom (see instructions above).

Join us for coffee hour in the back of the Nave following the service.

Blessing Bags will be assembled  following the liturgy in the Narthex. Come together as we prepare small necessities for our neighbors experiencing homelessness. You may donate to this and future Outreach projects online via Realm.

Our new high-efficiency boilers will be ready for service after a bit more electrical work (hopefully by mid-October). In the interim, you may wish to bring a jacket to church on especially crisp mornings.

Prayer Calendar

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for La Iglesia Anglicana de Chile.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Minnesota Commission on Indian Work (MCIW) and for the Hispanic, Hmong, Liberian, Karen, and numerous multi-cultural ministries and faith communities throughout the Episcopal Church in Minnesota. Pray also for the 165th Convention of the ECMN being held 27-29 October in Rochester.

Saint Paul’s weekly Parish Prayer List can be found here. If you wish to be contacted by a member of our Pastoral Care Team and/or priest, request prayers for yourself or someone else on the Parish Prayer List, or simply make someone aware of an acute or ongoing need, click the blue button below.

As Jesus said: Love one another.

General Announcements

Vestry Positions Open: Has the Holy Spirit been calling you to serve in a larger way? Two member-at-large vacancies on the Vestry begin at the Annual Meeting (January 2023). Step up to be part of Saint Paul’s leadership team who visions, plans, and executes administrative and stewardship roles in the parish. Contact Junior Warden Gene Tierney for more information, and to throw your hat in the ring.
Ministers in Liturgy and Hospitality Hosts: Please help us fill the gaps in coverage for November and beyond! Visit our Google sheet to sign up for a position or two; customaries will be emailed.
With the Undercroft project completion closing in fast, we encourage you to take a peek at our new street-level spaces. Though we had hoped to take occupancy of the new Undercroft on 6 November, a materials delay (carpeting and bathroom fixtures) has pushed back the final cleaning date a bit. Stay tuned as finishing touches are delivered, and loose ends are completed.
Adorn the retable with flowers to mark important occasions or people in your life. Sign up across from the elevator with your name, the date you wish to give flowers, and your desired thanksgiving or memorial. Payment can be made via Realm or a check made out to Saint Paul’s Church, with “flowers” in the memo; suggested donation $50.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Deacon Janet or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.
