Prayer Calendar

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for all members of the Anglican Communion around the world.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for all academic graduates, educational institutions, and the specialized chaplaincies in those institutions; remembering especially ECMN’s School for Formation, Breck School, Shattuck-St. Mary’s, University Episcopal Community, and those who work with campus ministries. We also pray for La Misión el Santo Niño Jesús (Saint Paul).

Our weekly Parish Prayer List can be found here. If you wish to be visited by a member of our Pastoral Care Team and/or deacon, request prayers for yourself or someone else on the Parish Prayer List, or simply make someone aware of an acute or ongoing need, click the blue button below.

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to do that. If you are that person, please inform Deacon Barbara or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.

Faith in Action

A message from Joyce Uptown Food Shelf:

“To focus our efforts on safely serving our community and to conserve volunteer and staff resources we are asking individuals and organizations to please refrain from bringing food donations to the Foodshelf at this time. Many faith groups and other organizations are collecting donations as part of MN Foodshare Month, we are asking that you hold the donations at your site temporarily. Monetary donations for us to buy food from foodbanks are needed. Monetary donations help us buy the specific foods we need in bulk from our foodbanks to use for our prepacked bags.”

And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”Matthew 25:40

General Announcements

The Building Research Committee is working hard to gather information on options for Saint Paul’s. Co-chairs Paul Carlson and Gene Tierney and members Deb Jones, Julie L’Enfant, Monte Mason, and the Reverend Susan Moss met with the Vestry via Zoom on Friday 15 May to discuss next steps. A financial modeling subcommittee has been drawn from the Vestry and the Committee (Tom Lockhart, Jacob McCray-Reeves, Gene Tierney, and Julia Yager). The Committee is grateful to parishioners for the trust and confidence placed in them, and asks for continued prayers as they move forward.
Curious about the online giving graphics you’re seeing on Saint Paul’s communications? Read all about them here, then click on the blue graphic at the bottom of the E-pistle to see how easy and pain-free your support of Saint Paul’s can be!
Is there a hymn or song you’re particularly longing to hear as part of our Bridge of Song playlist (link in right sidebar) on YouTube? Your requests are welcome; email them to Jacob Manier.
We have spaces to let in our lovely Beim House and church proper for several officing tenants. If you know any professional or organization looking to relocate, contact Senior Warden Beth Carlson.
