The Eucharist for Advent IV will be celebrated from our altar at 10:00am; it will also be livestreamed on Zoom (see link above) and archived for one week on our YouTube channel.

Kids’ Bible Story Time will be held for 15 minutes immediately following this liturgy. Children of all ages are welcome! *Masking and social distancing will be observed.

The Carol Sing which was postponed from Wednesday evening will be held after coffee hour in the Narthex. Bring your holiday requests (and possibly your coat, as windows will be opened) to make merry with Parish Choir members and friends!

Bring your blue Advent Bag back! Put donations in the bins found in the Narthex, then take your bag home for next week. This week’s shopping list: dish soap, laundry detergent, feminine sanitary products, diapers, toilet paper.

Prayer Calendar

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Church of the Province of Central Africa.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the foundations which minister to children with special needs–especially for the work of the Sheltering Arms Foundation–and for all who work in child protection agencies throughout the state of Minnesota. We also pray for the parish of the Nativity (Burnsville).

All aboard the Meal Train: Our long-time bookkeeper Brad Lien is very sick with cancer. He is receiving treatment, but is experiencing pain and lives alone with little family support. 21 DEC – Our Winter Solstice liturgy will be a peace-filled celebration of darkness and light with candles, music, poetry, and readings held in-person at 7:00pm in the Chapel.

24 DEC – Children’s Church, a 30-minute in-person service designed specifically for worshippers ages 12 and under, will be held at 3:00pm in the Chapel.

24 DEC – Christmas Eve Eucharist will be held at 8:00pm in person and on Zoom. Come and celebrate with us the birth of the King.

General Announcements

DESPERATELY SEEKING SERVERS: Greeters, Ushers, Vestry Announcers and Tellers, please use our Google sheet to sign up for reading and serving opportunities THIS SUNDAY and for all liturgies in December (Sundays and Christmas liturgies). Reach out to Pat Trumbull with questions.

We also need a few fine hosts for our Coffee Hour table after the liturgies – minimal commitment, maximum fun! Sign up on the MIL Google sheet, or speak with Jacob Manier to choose your Sunday/s to share hospitality with those gathered.

The blood of Christ returns: While we aren’t yet able to return to the common cup due to COVID, Communion wine will be available in individual recyclable cups beginning on Christmas Eve! Logistical information will be shared during the 8:00pm liturgy.

Do you feel called to be more involved at Saint Paul’s? Candidates for two Vestry Members at Large positions are now being solicited; the election will take place at the parish’s Annual Meeting in January. If you are interested, please speak with Senior Warden Mark Anderson or Junior Warden Steve Riendl.

Gratitudes and memorials for poinsettias will be taken until 19 December, for inclusion in all Christmastide bulletins.
