Wanted: Your BOOKS.
Even during winter months, Saint Paul’s Little Library continues to be extremely popular, and more books are needed to replenish and keep the collection fresh. If you have any left over from your “stay-at-home” stash we would love to have them. They can be dropped off at Hazel’s house if you are near church (call her at 612-377-0943), or Laurie can make a pick-up run if needed (612-849-1348). Children’s books are particularly in demand. Thank you from our reading neighbors!

Upcoming Events

Saint Paul’s Master Class series returns! Look forward to two more events: Greg Schaffner (7 March) and Julie L’Enfant (2 May)!

17 FEB:Liturgies for an ashless Ash Wednesday will be offered on Zoom at 12:00 noon and 7:00pm. Mark your calendar and prepare your heart for the beginning of a holy observance of Lent; bulletin here.
Sung Compline will resume 24 February.

23 FEB: A Service of Healing and Renewal is an opportunity to release what we no longer need, mend what is broken, and balance what we carry. This contemplative worship service reflects our belief that God’s purpose for us is a life of wholeness, as expressed in the life and teachings of Jesus. Take thirty minutes for a holy pause to breathe, reset, and open your heart to peace with music, readings, guided meditation, and healing prayer. All are welcome at 7:00pm.

2 MAR: A Virtual Pilgrimage to the Holy Land: Join Reverend Ramona to learn about the history of pilgrimage, Holy Land pilgrimage sites and their meaning, what makes the land holy, and contemporary issues in the Holy Land. Rev. Ramona has been on pilgrimage to the Holy Land three times and loves sharing the experience with others. Save the first three Tuesdays in March from 7-8:00pm on Zoom.

7 MAR: The next Master Class offering will be presented by Greg Schaffner after the Sunday morning liturgy. Tantalizing description coming soon…

Every Wednesday – Join us for Sung Compline, a contemplative oasis for your midweek: gather on Zoom at 7:45pm to greet your neighbors, then the bells sound at 8:00 for Compline. We depart in silence, refreshed.

Outgoing Senior Warden Beth Carlson shares the information from the 2020 Annual Meeting on 31 January 2021:

Saint Paul’s has entreated the aid of Saint Joseph as we proceed with the sale of the Beim House. His statue was inhumed on Monday in a brief ceremony. You may lend your prayers during the listing and sale process (and see photos of the ceremony) by using the prayers here.
Is there a hymn or song you’re particularly longing to hear as part of our Bridge of Song playlist (link in right sidebar) on YouTube? Your requests are welcome; email them to Jacob Manier.
We have spaces to let in the Beim House and church proper for several officing tenants. If you know a professional or organization looking to relocate, contact Senior Warden Mark Anderson.
If you know a parishioner who would benefit from receiving our weekly E-pistle news in printed form, please email Angie.
Subscribe to our Bridge of Song playlist, now on YouTube.  Is there a hymn or song you’re particularly longing to hear, your requests are welcome, and may be e-mailed to Jacob Manier. Click the thumbnail of the video you would like hear to play.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Deacon Janet or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.
