In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Falkland Islands.
In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Bishop, Missioners, and Missional Support in the ECMN. We also pray for the foundations which minster to children with special needs, notably the work of the Sheltering Arms Foundation, and for all who work in child protection agencies throughout the state of Minnesota. Pray especially for the parish of the Spirit of the Wilderness (Grand Marais).

19 DEC:Gifts for our Southside Care Center’s Giving Tree are due today. Socially distanced and masked curbside drop-off of wrapped gifts will be received from 10-11am. (Full details can be found here.)
21 DEC:The Everlasting Light: On the longest night of the year, we listen with our hearts and seek the light. Join us on Zoom for a celebration of the Solstice as we await the birth of the King. Details may be found here.
24 DEC: Start your holiday in an Anglican way: Gather with us on Zoom at 8:45am with your Christmas Eve breakfast (or last-minute gift wrapping) for a bit of fellowship. We will then hear the BBC Radio broadcast of A Service of Nine Lessons and Carols by the Chapel Choir of King’s College, Cambridge.
Our Christmas Eve liturgy will take place on Zoom at 8:00pm. Mark your calendars to join us one hour earlier, though – at 7:00pm a collaborative ECMN Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, for which our own Parish Choir offers a song, will be our prelude to the birth of the King. Gloria in excelsis Deo!
25 DEC: Welcome the King! The Feast of Christmas Day will be celebrated in liturgy and song at 10:00am on Zoom.
FRIDAYS: Lay-officiated Morning Prayer office will take place on Zoom at 10:00am. This liturgy, as set forth by the Book of Common Prayer (page 75), may be prayed communally or individually. We will come before God’s presence with thanksgiving on Friday mornings in August. Please join us! Use the same Zoom information for all our online service events, and you can find the weekly service bulletin on our home page.

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Deacon Janet or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.
