28 March: Maundy Thursday 7:00PM

Maundy Thursday* will be celebrated at 7:00PM, in person and via Zoom; login details above.

The Triduum (Three Days) begins with remembering Christ’s “new commandment” and his institution of Holy Eucharist. This liturgy, with choir and organ, concludes with the stripping of the altar followed by a Chapel Vigil with the Reserved Sacrament.

29 March: Good Friday, 12 Noon and 7:00PM

Good Friday Prayers* will be offered in-person, and not onlin, at 12:00N and 7:00PM.

Gather in the choir stalls to pray and commemorate the sacred hours our Lord hung upon the cross during this brief spoken liturgy.

31 March: Easter Sunday 10:00AM

Celebrate Easter Day at Saint Paul’s: Beginning in the darkness of the empty tomb with prayers for kindling light, we will worship the risen Christ with liturgy which boldly proclaims our Alleluia. A festive coffee hour follows, as well as an Easter egg hunt for children.

Prayer Calendar

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Church in the Province of the West Indies.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the work of the House of Prayer and all spiritual directors serving in the Episcopal Church in Minnesota, as well as all engaged in the Faithful Innovation process.

Saint Paul’s Parish Prayer List can be found here.

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Reverend Ramona or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.

Faith in Action

April’s food shelf theme is LATINX PANTRY STAPLES: canned corn, refried beans, tomatoes, jalapenos; dried beans; white rice; canola oil; and tortillas. Place your items in the bins outside the Undercroft. p.s. General donations are always welcome. Email Laurie or call 612-849-1348 to assist with delivery.

From Joyce Uptown Foodshelf: “Monetary donations are the most helpful and can be made through the PayPal link here or sent to Joyce Uptown at 3041 Fremont Ave S, Minneapolis 55408. For every $1.00 donated we can purchase $2.20 of food from our foodbanks.”

Blessing Bags are still available for distribution! Check the cubbies outside the Undercroft, and keep them in your car for distribution to neighbors in need.

Saint Paul’s Little Library is still popular even as the temperatures drop. Children’s picture books are most needed, as well as metal bookends; all donations can be placed in the bins outside the Undercroft. Your continued generosity helps make this outreach possible!

Episcopal Relief & Development accepts donations to aid those in need both at home and abroad. Click here to donate in a way meaningful to you.

And the king will answer them, “Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”
Matthew 25:40

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Deacon Janet or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.
