Join us in the Undercroft following the service for Coffee Hour refreshments, fellowship, and puzzling.

Pastoral visits with Communion: If your health or mobility renders you unable to attend on Sundays and you wish Rev. Ramona to bring Holy Communion to your home, please email her (or call/text at 612-201-6634).

Prayer Calendar

In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for The Church of Pakistan.

In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for all academic graduates, educational institutions, and the specialized chaplaincies in those institutions. Remember especially Breck School and Shattuck-Saint Mary’s and their chaplains, University Episcopal Community, and all who work with campus ministries.

Saint Paul’s Parish Prayer List can be found here.
If you wish to be contacted by a member of our Pastoral Care Team and/or priest, request prayers for yourself or someone else on the Parish Prayer List, or simply make someone aware of an acute or ongoing need, click the blue button below:

Faith in Action

Food shelf donations:In addition to pantry staples (no expired or glass items, por favor), our partner organizations have expressed a need for COOKBOOKS! Need to thin your collection? Drop off all foodie donations outside the Undercroft. If you’d like to help with deliveries to Casa Maria or Joyce Uptown, contact Laurie Larsen.

Saint Paul’s Little Library is perpetually popular! Children’s picture books and adult fiction are still most needed; all donations can be placed in the bins outside the Undercroft. Your continued generosity helps make this outreach possible.

Episcopal Relief & Development accepts donations to aid those in need both at home and abroad. Click here to donate in a way meaningful to you.

UPCOMING EVENTS OF NOTE

16 MAY: A Tea Party for Aunt Flo: Once again we are collecting donations of period products to stock the hygiene closet at Youthlink. Read details about attending and supporting the afternoon soirée by clicking here.

17 MAY: Organ Crawl: Join us for a special event hosted by the 20s & 30s group. Gather with choirmaster Jacob Manier following the service for a guided tour of our pipe organ. Get your questions answered and see the “behind-the-scenes” mechanics of our church’s liturgical music. As usual, Coffee Hour refreshments will be provided, regardless of whether you’re able to stay for the presentation. All are welcome to attend!

18 MAY: The May Vestry meeting will be held in the Choir Room 7:00-9:00PM. All are welcome to attend the general proceedings. If you have an item for the agenda, please contact one of our Wardens.

20 MAY: “Wings and a Prayer”: Join us for our community dinner 6:00-7:15PM in the Undercroft. We’ll provide the wings and prayer; you can bring a dish to share – or just bring yourself!

General Announcements

Pronouns: They/Them, She/Her, He/Him

God called each of us by name to be who we are and bring our gifts and talents into the world. We celebrate our diversity as a gift from God, and live into our baptismal vow of respecting the dignity of every person. This includes using the name a person asks to be called by and the pronouns they use. Sometimes, we all stumble over a pronoun. Sometimes, it takes practice. Yet, be it they/them, she/her, or he/him, using a person’s correct pronouns is a sign of respect, acceptance, and inclusion.

Thank you for continuing to live into Saint Paul’s being a welcoming faith community for all. It takes a village! In appreciation, Rev. Ramona+

Please click this link to view a letter to Saint Paul’s parish community from Rev. Ramona.
Rev. Ramona will be away from the office May 11-15. For emergency pastoral care please text or call 612-201-6634 for the clergy person on coverage.
Got hostas? We want them: The south side garden will be getting some TLC this spring! If you are dividing or re-homing perennials in your garden (especially shade and native perennials), we can find a home for them at Saint Paul’s. Contact Sarah Bauer for more details.
Ministers in Liturgy and Coffee Hour volunteers:Please check your availability for June, then sign up for open positions; customaries will be emailed your week of service. Contact Jacob Manier with questions.
Adorn the retable with flowers to mark important occasions or people in your life. Reserve the date you wish to give flowers by contacting Kathy Kullberg. Payment can be made online via Realm (select “Flower Fund” from dropdown and enter chosen date in memo) or a check made out to Saint Paul’s Church, with “flowers” in the memo; suggested donation $50.

Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care Team has a request for all: as we practice our social distancing, do not let that extend to social isolation. Take a few minutes every day to call someone to see how they are doing – to reach out and say a prayer with them and/or find out if they need anything. One of the things that is so important right now is to connect with our community. If there are those who need help, please let us know and we will figure out how to assist; if you are that person, please reach out to Deacon Janet or Pat Trumbull. As Jesus said: Love one another.
