Light in the Darkness: Coming Home
“There’s a voice I can hear that will lead me home.” As the days get shorter and the nights longer, we celebrate the warmth of coming home to family and friends, sharing food and drink, and always searching for light in the darkness. Our varied program features music by Stephen Paulus, Abbie Betinis and the Wailin’ Jennys as well as Renaissance and Medieval masterpieces.
Performances will be held:
Friday, November 24, 7:00pm
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Minneapolis
1917 Logan Avenue S., Minneapolis (near Lake of the Isles)
Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for students/seniors and are available at the door only.
LUMINA musicians: Kim Sueoka and Angela Grundstad, sopranos; Linda Kachelmeier and Clara Osowski, altos
About LUMINA
Lumina is a professional women’s ensemble in the Twin Cities dedicated to the mystery, beauty, and hope inherent in music. They were selected as MPR’s Class Notes Artist and also featured on their Taste of the Holidays CD volumes VI and VII and VII. Lumina’s programming draws from a rich well of musical sources, including Medieval chants, Renaissance motets, folk-song traditions, and works by living and local composers.
