E-pistle for Sunday 03 June 2018

Saint Paul's ChurchChurch News, E-PISTLE

This Sunday at Saint Paul’s:

Groveland and Joyce Uptown Food Shelves joyfully receive Saint Paul’s weekly donations of personal care and non-perishable food. Please bring items to church as part of your weekly offering, and place in the baskets at the Narthex doors. Thank you!

A painting project update

As coordinator for the painting project, I want to express my gratitude for your participation in our month-long conversation about the project. The Listening Committee logged 96(!) conversations, and nearly 40(!) of you signed up to help with the project. You are all amazing. Two weeks ago, I turned our collective feedback over to the Vestry, leaving the project in their very capable hands. Moving forward, questions about the status of the project should be addressed directly to one or both Wardens, Jacob McCray-Reeves and Meredith Johnson. Special thanks to Listening Committee members Steve Clarke, Ruth Mary Gens, Meredith Johnson, Julie L’Enfant, and Helen Lockhart. Many, many thanks, everyone!

Father Marcus’s Open Office hours are held at Common Roots Cafe. You are invited to join him Wednesdays from 10am-1pm for coffee and conversation on 6 June, then again throughout the month of July. A more confidential meeting can be scheduled by calling the church, or using Calendly.

If you missed any of Father Marcus’s sermons (or wish to revisit one that spoke to you), you can find them on his Word Made FRESH podcast on your Apple device, or Pocketcasts on Android; print versions are accessible on his blog of the same name, and in the Sermons section of this website.

Beautiful Music as Always

Thank you to the Pastoral Care Team for hosting Coffee Hour this week; next week, the Vestry.

Coffee Hour will be an opportunity for faith formation for all generations throughout Lent. We will journal, play games, dance, plant gardens in the Undercroft – all while reflecting on what it means to be a Christian. You are invited to bring your whole family each week to share in this experience with us.

If you need to be in touch with parish staff, please use
