This Sunday at Saint Paul’s:
This week we welcome Reverend Alan Tilson to pulpit and table, and organist Rob Strusinski to Saint Paul’s organ bench. Thank you for your leadership in our summer worship!
Groveland and Joyce Uptown Food Shelves joyfully receive Saint Paul’s weekly donations of personal care and non-perishable food. Please bring items to church as part of your weekly offering, and place in the baskets at the Narthex doors. Thank you!
In honor of those receiving Holy Orders, the Cathedral is asking all ordinand-sponsoring parishes to bless the Ordination reception with cookies. Please drop off your containers of cookie goodness to the kitchenette by the Rector’s office as soon as possible. Thank you!
Make our gardens grow! Summer is upon us, and the Building & Grounds Commission would welcome anyone interested in keeping the gardens at Saint Paul’s tidy. (A huge thank you to those who helped in the rain last week!) Direct questions about your favorite garden spot to these fine folks…
Father Marcus’s Open Office hours will resume in July at Common Roots Cafe. You are invited to join him Wednesdays from10am-1pm for coffee and conversation. A more confidential meeting can be scheduled by calling the church, or using Calendly.
If you missed any of Father Marcus’s sermons (or wish to revisit one that spoke to you), you can find them on his Word Made FRESH podcast on your Apple device, or Pocketcasts on Android; print versions are accessible on his blog of the same name, and in the Sermons section of this website.
Reverend Peggy Schnack
The Ordination of the Reverend Peggy Schnack to the Sacred Order of Priests will be held at Saint Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral on Tuesday, 26 June at 7:00pm, with reception to follow. Our entire parish community is invited to attend and celebrate with her. Congratulations, Rev. Peggy!
Thank you to the Finance Commission for hosting Coffee Hour this week; next week, the Outreach Commission.
Coffee Hour will be an opportunity for faith formation for all generations throughout Lent. We will journal, play games, dance, plant gardens in the Undercroft – all while reflecting on what it means to be a Christian. You are invited to bring your whole family each week to share in this experience with us.
Help beautify our sanctuary for worship
Give altar flowers to mark important occasions or significant events in your life. Write us a note or email, telling us your name, the date you wish to give flowers, and your desired dedication. Checks should be made out to Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, with "altar flowers" in the memo; suggested donation is $50.
