E-pistle for Friday 7 July 2017

Saint Paul's ChurchChurch News, E-PISTLE

This Sunday at Saint Paul’s:

Make one, wear one: Don’t forget to stop at the nametag kiosk as you enter and leave church. Greetings are much more memorable with names!

Thank you to the Building and Grounds Commission for hosting coffee hour. Next week: the Finance/Administration Commission.

Joyce Upton Food Shelf will be receiving Paul’s donations on a weekly basis, owing to renovations under way at Groveland. We continue June’s theme of CONDIMENTS (ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, mayo, etc.), but other non-perishable items are always welcome. Please bring items to church and place them in the baskets at the Narthex doors. Reminder: Church attendance can be down in the summer, but the need for food never diminishes. Thank you!

Hospitality 101: Hello, My Name Is…
If you’ve been to Sunday liturgies the past few weeks, you may have noticed the return of the name tag board; you might even say it has been “resurrected.” It has returned to help our new rector learn our names, and to create a more intentionally welcoming environment for people visiting our parish. If you haven’t already, please make a name tag when you next arrive at church, wear it during services and coffee hours, and then hang it under the initial of your last name so you can find it next week.

BBQ at The Bridge! TICEH and Saint Paul’s are hosting a BBQ at The Bridge for Homeless Youth on Tuesday 11 July. Read all the details here, and RSVP ASAP.

An Adopt-a-Garden program is being proposed by the Buildings and Grounds Commission. They are seeking people, groups, or families willing to assist in keeping the gardens here at Saint Paul’s looking neat through the summer season. Interested? Please contact Gary Wegner, or call 763-360-2231.
Are you in the new online membership directory? And have you added your photo? It’s a great way for people (like a new rector) to learn your name! See Angie during coffee hour or email her with any questions.

Help beautify our sanctuary for worship

Give altar flowers to mark important occasions or significant events in your life. Write us a note or email, telling us your name, the date you wish to give flowers, and your desired dedication. Checks should be made out to Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, with “altar flowers” in the memo; suggested donation is $50.
