This Sunday at Saint Paul’s:
Make one, wear one: Don’t forget to stop at the nametag kiosk as you enter and leave church. Greetings are much more memorable with names!
Thank you to the Outreach Commission for hosting coffee hour. Next week the Altar Guild.
Joyce Upton Food Shelf will be receiving Saint Paul’s weekly food donations, owing to renovations under way at Groveland. July’s theme is CEREAL, but other non-perishable items are always welcome. Please bring items to church and place them in the baskets at the Narthex doors. Reminder: Church attendance can be down in the summer, but the need for food never diminishes. Thank you!
In the Anglican Cycle of Prayer, we pray for the Church in Pennsylvania.
In the Diocesan Cycle of Prayer, we pray for all Ecumenical Ministries throughout the Minnesota, especially for the Minnesota Council of Churches and all those who work with social service agencies; also pray for all those who work on behalf of the Millennium Development Goals, which are eight integrated targets for the eradication of extreme poverty, and for Episcopal Relief and Development. We also pray for the parish of Saints Martha and Mary(Eagan).
On our Parish Prayer List, we pray for Alex, Bea, Bob, Gary and Sue, Harvey, Jimmy and Kim, Joan, John, Krista, Laurie, Mary, Nancy, Ruth, Sue, Susan, Thomas, Weldon, and the Coopergard and Paulson families.
Upcoming Events and General Announcements:
Communal Evensong: On Sundays evenings in August, we hope you’ll come share a meal with us at 5:15 pm, followed by Evensong at 6:00 pm, in the Chapel. Evensong is the sung form of Evening Prayer (found on page 115 of the Book of Common Prayer), a liturgy rooted in the medieval prayers/offices of Vespers and Compline. Do join us!
An Adopt-a-Garden program is being proposed by the Buildings and Grounds Commission. They are seeking people, groups, or families willing to assist in keeping the gardens here at Saint Paul’s looking neat through the summer season. Interested? Please contact Gary Wegner, or call 763-360-2231.
Are you in the new online membership directory? And have you added your photo? It’s a great way for people (like a new rector) to learn your name! See Angie during coffee hour or email her with any questions.
