Palm Sunday & News at Saint Paul’s:

Please gather in the Undercroft at 10:00am for the Liturgy of the Palms, from where we will process to the Nave for the Eucharist. Hosanna!

Groveland and Joyce Uptown Food Shelves receive Saint Paul’s weekly donations of personal care and non-perishable food. our theme for March is SOAP, but other contributions are welcome. Please bring items to church as part of your weekly offering, and place in the baskets at the Narthex doors.

Blessing Bags will be assembled during Coffee Hour this Sunday:gallon zip-top plastic bags filled with useful items such as socks, bus token, toiletries, water, snacks, and a card from Saint Stephen’s outlining resources for the homeless and hungry. A freewill donation will be taken to offset the cost of materials, but your participation matters most. Take them to keep in your car, and share them with those in need.

Are you new to Saint Paul’s Church? You are invited to get to know us better over good food and good fellowship at our Newcomer Social on Thursday, 26 April at 7:00pm, at the home of Errik and Whitney-Lehr Koening (3404 Bryant Avenue South, Minneapolis), To RSVP, please send an email to Father Marcus.

Painting news: We are excited to share more details about how the proposed painting project of the nave will enhance our worship of God. In the coming weeks you will see the full proposal for the project, including colors, cost, and rationale. The feedback of the whole church will be solicited before a final decision is made.

Father Marcus will be out of town from 14-17 March for the Evangelism Matters Conference in Cleveland Heights, OH. He will be checking e-mail and voicemail regularly while away; immediate pastoral emergencies should be directed to the Rev. Barbara del Caro Scaia at 612.408.1769.

If you missed any of Father Marcus’s sermons (or wish to revisit one that spoke to you), you can find them here on our website as well as his podcasts.

Thank you to the Clergy for hosting Sunday’s Coffee Hour in the Undercroft;
next week, the Parish Life Commission will provide for Easter Sunday.

Coffee Hour will be an opportunity for faith formation for all generations throughout Lent. We will journal, play games, dance, plant gardens in the Undercroft – all while reflecting on what it means to be a Christian. You are invited to bring your whole family each week to share in this experience with us.
