Holy Baptism is the Sacrament by which God adopts us as his children and makes us members of Christ’s Body, the Church, and inheritors of the Kingdom of God. Saint Paul’s has four regularly scheduled dates for Baptism: The Baptism of our Lord (early January), the Second Sunday of Easter (April), Pentecost (late May to early June), and All Saints’ or the Sunday thereafter (Early November). Additional opportunities can be discussed with parish clergy.

Any person prepared to take the vows of baptism may be baptized as may any young child or infant with parents and sponsors prepared to make vows of faith and commitment to Christian nurture on behalf of the child. To make arrangements for baptism, parents of infants and young children should contact the priest. Teenagers and adults should contact the priest directly. The priest will meet with the parents or the candidates to discuss the meaning and the procedures of the service, and to set the date for the service, and schedule the Baptismal Seminar (usually held the day before the Baptism). Saint Paul’s expects that all candidates shall be in regular attendance and active in parish life. If you are not able or willing to be active in the life of Saint Paul’s Church, we are happy to help you find a parish where you may celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Baptism and grow in your faith.

Please call the church office (612-377-1273) at least ten days in advance to make arrangements for Baptisms of adults or children.
